A New Lesson

Psalm 131 has been one of my favorite sections of Scripture for many years. And just now, the Lord has reminded me that He always has new things to teach me, even from verses that I have had memorized for over a decade!

~~Psalm 131~~
O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty;
Nor do I involve myself in great matters,
Or in things too difficult for me.
Surely I have composed and quieted my soul;
Like a weaned child rests against his mother,
My soul is like a weaned child within me.
O Israel, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever.

And my lesson for today? Verse two says, "Surely I have composed and quieted my soul..." Guess what??? That's an action! An act of the will, by God's grace and power.
